Better tooling. Faster manufacturing. A stronger industrial base.
I'm Nikita Cheniuntai - a machinist, tool designer, and robotics entrepreneur with a passion for making manufacturing more efficient.
My previous startup, Apis Cor, focused on building construction robots. That experience taught me a hard lesson: innovation moves at the speed of your ability to build and iterate. When a custom-machined part takes weeks - or even a month - to arrive, progress slows down. And when you're building robots, cost matters just as much as performance.
I believe one way to change this is to build smarter tools for the people who make things.
GlobeGrip is my side venture dedicated to developing practical, intelligent tooling that helps CNC shops work faster, reduce production time, and manufacture low-volume, high-mix parts more efficiently. These are the kinds of parts that drive innovation in robotics, aerospace, and other advanced industries.
Inspired by America's industrial builders
Reading Freedom's Forge by Arthur Herman reminded me what American industry can accomplish when engineering ingenuity, entrepreneurial ambition, and manufacturing capability come together. The book tells the story of how American businesses helped transform industrial capacity during World War II. One quote attributed to industrialist William Knudsen in the book captures the spirit that inspires me:
"Progress is only made when fear is overcome by curiosity."
I want to contribute to America's reindustrialization - not by starting with another giant factory, but by solving real manufacturing problems, one tool at a time.
Starting small. Building toward something bigger.
The first GlobeGrip product is MagSpin, a magnetic CNC machine window wiper designed to clear coolant from the inside of a machine window without drilling holes, adding wiring, or installing a motor.
Pre-orders are now available.
MagSpin is just the beginning. I'm also exploring smarter workholding and fixturing, vacuum tables with fail-safe vacuum valves, and other tools designed to make CNC manufacturing more productive and reliable.
My goal is simple: build tools that give machinists and manufacturers more capability, less wasted time, and greater freedom to experiment.
GlobeGrip starts with the small things that make a big difference on the shop floor.
