Privacy Policy
Effective September 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Advanta Motion ink ("Advanta Motion", "Globegrip", "we", "us") handles personal information when you visit globegrip.com, create an account, contact us, or buy a product. Globegrip is a brand of Advanta Motion ink. By using the site you agree to this policy.
1. Who we are
Advanta Motion ink sells CNC shop accessories under the Globegrip brand, including the MagSpin window wiper. We are the data controller for the information described here. Contact us any time at sales@globegrip.com. Our business address is 690 LongBridge St, San Francisco, California, USA.
2. Information we collect
- Order information: name, email address, phone number, billing address, shipping address, items ordered, order number, and order status.
- Payment information: processed by Stripe. Card numbers are entered directly into Stripe's hosted checkout and are never stored on our servers. We receive only a payment confirmation, the last four digits, card brand, and billing country.
- Account information: if you create an account, your email address, an encrypted password (or a Google sign-in identifier), and your order history.
- Messages you send us: the name, email, company, phone, product interest, quantity, and description you submit through our contact form.
- Product reviews: the display name, rating, and review text you choose to publish. We keep the submitting email address privately for moderation and never show it publicly.
- Technical information: IP address, browser type, device type, referring pages, and pages viewed. Used for security, fraud prevention, and understanding which pages need work.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16, and we do not collect government identifiers, health data, biometric data, or precise geolocation.
3. Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To take payment, ship your order, and give you support - performance of our contract with you.
- To answer your questions and send order, shipping, and delivery notifications - performance of our contract and our legitimate interest in serving customers.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and chargebacks, and to keep the site secure - legitimate interest and legal obligation.
- To keep accounting, tax, and warranty records - legal obligation.
- To publish a review you submitted, or send you optional marketing email - your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
We do not sell or share personal information for money, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising or automated decision-making that has a legal effect on you.
4. Service providers we share with
We share only the data each provider needs to do its job, under contract, and never for their own marketing:
- Stripe - payment processing and fraud screening.
- EasyPost and the carriers it connects to (such as USPS, UPS, FedEx) - address verification, shipping rates, labels, and tracking.
- Our hosting, database, and email providers - running the site, storing orders and accounts, and sending transactional email.
- Mux - hosting and streaming product video.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to enforce our terms, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or in connection with a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply to the transferred data.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We use strictly necessary cookies and local browser storage to keep your shopping cart, keep you signed in, and protect checkout. These are required for the store to work and cannot be switched off from within the site; you can block them in your browser, but checkout and sign-in will stop working. If we later add analytics or advertising cookies, we will ask for consent first and update this section.
6. How long we keep it
- Order, invoice, and tax records: at least 7 years, as required by tax and accounting rules.
- Account data: until you ask us to delete the account, plus any period required for the records above.
- Contact form messages: up to 3 years after our last exchange.
- Published reviews: until you ask us to remove them.
- Server and security logs: typically up to 12 months.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of marketing email. California residents (CCPA/CPRA) also have the right to know what we collect and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights; because we do not sell or share personal information, there is no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" mechanism to use. Residents of the EU, EEA, UK, and Switzerland have the corresponding GDPR rights, including the right to complain to a supervisory authority.
To exercise any right, email sales@globegrip.com from the address on your order or account. We respond within 30 days and may ask for information to confirm your identity. An authorized agent may act for you with written permission.
8. International transfers
We operate from the United States, and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where personal data leaves the EU, EEA, UK, or Switzerland, our providers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent lawful transfer mechanism.
9. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, passwords are stored hashed, database access is restricted by row-level security rules, and card data never touches our systems. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant regulators as the law requires.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our products or the law change. The effective date at the top always shows the current version, and material changes will be announced on this page.
